Jamie Sue Kelly, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at her home with her loving daughter by her side. Jamie was the daughter of Ernest and the late Mary Kelly.

Jamie From a young age, she had a deep love for animals. She had several pets throughout her years. She had a love of wolves and also enjoyed watching live streams of Panda Bears. When she could no longer support pets, she continued to show her love for animals by feeding the local squirrels. Jamie also enjoyed spending time with her family and relaxing in nice quiet places, with buttermilk falls being her favorite. Jamie wore her heart on her sleeve, she would give anyone the shirt off her back if they needed it. Having such a good heart made it very easy for her to find her true career. She ran the Salvation Army in Cohoes. Many people grew to love her, because of her unselfish ways. Prior to Salvation Army Jamie worked as a machine operator at G.E. , Intermagnetics (Philips) .

In addition to her mother Mary, she was predeceased by several siblings and her life-long friend Billy “Bub” who was an integral part of her life. Jamie is survived by her father, Ernest (Sue) Kelly; daughters Danielle Kelly, Jessica Kelly, and Erin (Robert) Bruce; her grandchildren Dominick Bruce, Taleea Watkins, Tylasia Watkins, Lee Watkins Jr, Traevon Watkins and Dalena Watkins,Great grandson Antonio Ploof her brother, Scott Saxton; and sister, Monica (Cory) Rice.

Memorial calling hours will be held at New Comers Funeral Home, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervilet, NY, on Friday August 8, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to daughter Danielle. Celebration of Jamie’s life will be held at a later date.
