SCHENECTADY - James A. Martin, 90, passed away November 12 from complications from a stroke in 2014. He was born in Lakewood, OH, but spent most of his life in the Capital District. James was a sergeant in the Army Air Force during WWII, and was awarded four medals for his service. James was retired from Niagara Mohawk, where he worked for 40 years as a linesman and a foreman for the pole setting crew. He was a member of the fish and game club at Hadlock Pond. He is survived by his brother Donald of Slingerlands, nephews Donald (Marie) of Scotia, Michael (Susan) of Delmar, and niece's husband John Paolucci of Halfmoon. James also had four great- and two great-great- nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his niece Jill Paolucci, formerly of Ballston Spa, and sister-in-law Corinne Martin, formerly of Wilton. A private graveside service will be held at Albany Rural Cemetery.
