Jacqueline B. Norton (nee Tashjian)

ALBANY - Jacqueline B. Norton (née Tashjian) entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Angela Finn and Raymond Tashjian.

Jacqueline was a teacher's assistant at Mercy Cares for Kids, a role perfectly suited for her natural motherly warmth. A lifelong parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany, she devoted many joyful years to volunteering for various school and parish activities, where she was affectionately known to students and their families as "Miss Jackie." Her family was her world: she loved nothing more than spending time with relatives at holiday gatherings, cookouts, and vacations.

She was the beloved mother of Tyler Norton (Amanda) and Troy Norton. She was a loving sister to her twin brother and best friend, John Tashjian (Carol), as well as six other siblings: Lucy Hyde (James), Beatrice Murtaugh (Jack), Raymond Tashjian (Teresa), Ralph Tashjian (Christine), Florinda Ross (Al), and Mary Ellen DiBiase (Leo). She is survived by her cousin, Isabele "Cookie" Balfe, whom she considered another sister. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, to whom she was lovingly known as "Aunt Jackie."

Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with Jacqueline's family on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 9:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany.
