Albany- Horace Fields,74, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in his home surrounded by his children. Horace was born in Okolona, MS to the late Boston Sr. and Iona (Graham) Fields. At a young age, his family relocated to Albany, NY.
At age 18, he enlisted in the Military and served honorably in the US Army from 1961 to 1964. He dedicated his life to Christ and served at Walking the Walk Christian Center and Victory Christian Church. Horace was self-employed as a contractor for many years- owner of Fast and Reliable Contractors.
Horace was survived by his four children, Shevil (Anthony) Redmond, Lisa Fields-Vaughn, Ameaka (Julian) Valentine, and Paul Fields. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his grandchildren, Kareem Redmond and Sionne Yee; and his siblings, Charles, Louis, and Freddie (Brenda) Fields; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funerals services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Victory Christian Church, 1312 Central Ave, Colonie, NY. Viewing hours will be from 11am-12pm with the service to follow at 12pm. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
