Harriet Mayo

Harriet was born on January 10, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Harry J. and Jennie Mae (Gardner) Smith.
Harriet enjoyed traveling. She spent her time visiting flea markets and yard sales. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Harriet was a hard worker, she worked at Brown's Beach, Tek-Hughes, Burns Security, Cohoes Mills and she especially enjoyed the time she spent working at her daughter Christine's daycare. She loved writing her own books later in life. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She loved people and visiting with her neighbors, inviting those into her kitchen to enjoy special conversations and something great to eat.
Harriet is survived by her children, Judith A. Kennedy (Paul) of Clifton Park, Christine Kresloff of Watervliet, Bill Bruneau of Cohoes, Ann Bogdanowicz-Fox (Arthur) of Saratoga, Jeff Graca (Erin) of Watervliet, grandchildren, Tracey Kennedy, Paul Kennedy Jr., Donna Marie Larkin, Leslie Foster, Erin Bruneau, Melissa Mayo, Stefani Brown, Erika Bogdanowicz, Andrew Bogdanowicz, Dakota Wescott, Robert Loeper Jr., Lucien Loeper, Leigh-Amber Loeper, Xavier Wescott, Kylea Graca, great grandchildren, Anthony Kennedy, Jesiah Benson, Avery Larkin, Lauren Foster, Colin Foster, Christopher Lee Reeves, Kemper Brown, Peyton Studler, Elijah Studler, Chenelle Wescott.
A funeral services for Harriet will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. Friends may call from 9:30 until the time of service on Saturday. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service.
