Ossining- Harriet Dantzler, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 surrounded by the love of her family.

Harriet was born in South Carolina, to the late John and Ann Petty on October 29, 1933 and she was raised in Philadelphia, PA. Later in life Harriet moved to Ossining, NY where she raised her four children. Harriet will be remembered for her love of cooking, baking, crocheting, and country music. Her passion in life was her family.

She is predeceased by her children; Carl Dantzler, James Dantzler, Edward Dantzler, and Lydia Dantzler.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lewis, her niece, Roz L. Spells, her granddaughters; Katina Dantzler, and Kawana Dantzler, her grandson, Rohan A. Rose Sr., and her great-grandson, Rohan A. Rose Jr.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 9:00am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
