TROY - Gregory “Greg” Keville, 72, died peacefully on March 21, 2026, following a recent cancer diagnosis. Greg was born on June 30, 1953, in Troy, the third child of the late Gertrude (Sagendorf) Keville and George Keville Sr.
He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Hogan) for 53 years and a loving father to Eric (Kendal) and Jason (Valerie). Greg was incredibly intelligent, with a sharp mind that shaped the way he saw the world. Never one to hold back, he spoke honestly and from the heart, always saying what was on his mind with sincerity and conviction. Take him or leave him!
He is also survived by his brothers, George Jr., Bruce, and David Keville. His sister, Karen, predeceased him in 2013.
Greg graduated from Shaker High School in 1972 and worked as a truck driver for Grand Union for over 20 years. A true jack of all trades, he especially enjoyed working on cars with his longtime friend, Rick. Greg was an avid fan of NASCAR Cup racing and pursued his passion as a pit crew mechanic at Lebanon Valley Raceway in the late 1980s and early 1990s—he truly loved racing.
Affectionately known as “Papa,” Greg was a proud grandfather to Arica, Ava, Jayse, Jaxen, and Jaylen.
His presence, wisdom, and candid spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
