The family of Gladys Williams, of Rotterdam, is saddened to announce her passing on November 23, at the age of 92, at St. Peter’s Hospital’s Hospice Inn in Albany, NY
Born on September 30, 1933, in Schenectady, NY, Gladys was the sixth daughter of the late Harry Willey and Florence Burke Willey.
Gladys lived a simple life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family. A devoted wife and a cherished mother of four daughters, she was also a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially loved spending time at her camp on Sacandaga Lake in the Adirondacks. Gladys was always ready for a trip to the casino and delighted in every win, big or small. She also enjoyed the warm Florida sun when visiting her daughter Pam. She enjoyed music and dancing, treasured her perfectly manicured hands and her collection of beautiful jewelry, and never lost her love for shopping on Amazon or relaxing with a good Netflix show. In her later years, her beloved cat Max was the light of her life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert G. Williams, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Gladys is survived by her four daughters and their families: Bonnie(Patrick) Fretto, Pam(Jim)Bardascini, Paula (John) Goewey, Brenda (Frank) Mancino; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Fretto, Shawn (Nancy) Palluti, Chris (Stephanie) Fretto, Tara Palluti, Nick (Heather) Fretto, Heather Fretto, Bobby (Lindsey) Palluti, Trish (Jerrel) Wicks, Shane (Gina) Goewey, Dominick (Emmy) Mancino, Kyle (Lexi) Mancino; Great Grandchildren - Chuck (Jamie) Kuhn, Alexis (Chris) Smith, Kaleb (Cyndi) Fretto, Teyana (Matt) Cappuccitti, Jahnna (Ryan) Palluti, Maylena Palluti, Kayla (Ryan) Palluti, Ryanne Fretto, CJ Palluti, Andrew Fretto, Avery Fretto, Braden Fretto, Drew Palluti, Kylie Goewey, Nolan Fretto, Amari Wicks, Nevelynn Fretto, Kiyah Brower, Mia Palluti, Norah Fretto, Oaklee Goewey, Shane Jr. Goewey, Niko Mancino; Great Great Grandchildren, Aubrey & Madilynn Kuhn, and Eli & Kai Cappuccitti.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
