Giuseppe "Pippo" Simone

Giuseppe "Pippo" Simone, 65, of Albany, NY, passed away on September 14, 2025.

Born on March 19, 1960, in Sicily, Italy, Giuseppe was the beloved son of the late Antonino and Maria (Recupero) Simone. He immigrated to the United States and later attended Colonie Central High School. Giuseppe built a lifelong career as an auto mechanic, working throughout the Capital Region.

He was known for his deep passion for cars and soccer, his legendary firework displays on Alexy Lane, and his love for music, dancing, and cooking. He had a vibrant spirit and brought joy and energy to all who knew him.

Giuseppe is survived by his children, Mikaela Conrad (Kevin) and Antonio Simone (Riley); his cherished granddaughters; and his best friend, Shelly Housel.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial soccer game will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Afrim’s Sports Park, 969 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12205. All are welcome to play or attend. Donations collected will support a youth scholarship fund in Giuseppe’s honor.
