Gerald Lawrence Brady

Albany- Gerald Lawrence Brady, 65, passed away on November 5, 2016 in St. Peter's Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack, just two weeks after he celebrated his 65th Birthday. He was born on October 22, 1951 to the late Watson Lawrence Brady and Geraldine T. Brady.

Gerald was a very generous and kind hearted man, always grateful for what he had achieved and never complained. He ran for miles or swam every day, and he will be sorely missed by his family and many friends he made along the way.
Gerald was honorably discharged from the Army as a sharpshooter in 1976 after 6 years of service. He worked for GE as an Electrician, and then at Griffin Laboratory until he retired.

Gerald was the beloved brother to: Phyllis A. (James) Peters, and Susan L. (Matthew) Dragotta; a loving uncle to: Arthur, Christopher, and Timothy Peters, Lisa Melillo and Kristen Knight; and great uncle to: Salvatore and Heather Melillo, Kyle and Matthew Knight, Jamie, Leah, Clarice and Hannah Peters; and a special friend to: Sharon Rockenstyre.

His family would like to thank Dr. Samer Ali-Hassan and the other exceptional doctors and nurses at St. Peters Critical Care Unit for their compassionate and loving care for Gerald.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York on Saturday November 19, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be held after calling hours at 12:00 pm with the burial to take place following at the St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
