After retiring to Florida with her husband Leonard, they returned to the Capital District in 2019, living in Glenmont. Georgia later resided at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Colonie.
Despite the health challenges she faced, Georgia’s social spirit remained high. She kept a busy schedule in Florida and was always ready for a gathering or celebration inside or outside the Shaker Place facility. She had a way of drawing people in and was eager to learn about their stories and experiences.
