RENSSELAER, NY – George L. Langill, Jr., 78, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009. He was the oldest of ten children, born in South Boston, MA to the late George L. Langill, Sr. and Alice Moynihan Langill. Mr. Langill was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was a past commander of the American Legion Fort Orange Post #30 and coached baseball in all aspects for many years. George was the beloved husband of the late Patricia M. Sheehan Langill. He is the devoted father of Trudy Lake, Donna Lockman, George L. Langill, III, Patricia McNally and Lawrence Langill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Memory's Garden. There will be no calling hours.
