Schenectady- Gayle Van Heusen, 95, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. The daughter of the late Frank and Blanche Munsell, Gayle was born on June 22, 1921 in Amsterdam, NY. Gayle married George F. Van Heusen in 1964. Together, they enjoyed traveling around the world and raising Arabian Horses. He predeceased her in 2010. She was the secretary for the superintendent of Scotia-Glenville district for almost 40 years.
Gayle is survived by her step-son George (Anne) Van Heusen, Jr.; her grandchildren: Kevin (Arianna) Van Heusen and Nancy (Chris) DiLallo; four great-grandchildren; niece Bonnie (Bill) Pasko; nephew Thorman Male and a great niece and nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Doris Male.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
