Gary A. Craver

Gary Alan Craver, 79, beloved husband of Linda Craver of Guilderland, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Born on October 9, 1946, in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Clarence and Gabrielle Craver.

Gary was a 1964 graduate of Mohonasen High School and a 1970 graduate of Northeastern University, where he earned a degree in engineering. He later worked for more than 30 years at General Electric in Schenectady.

Gary met the love of his life, Linda, at his mother’s ceramic studio, and they were married on November 7, 1970. Together they built a loving family and shared over 55 years of marriage.

Above all else, Gary was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He treasured time spent with his family and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of his daughters and grandchildren. His quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family will be remembered always.

He is survived by his wife, Linda,; his daughters, Jennifer (Douglas) Reinert of Guilderland, NY, and Jessica (Aldo) Vultaggio of Chicago, Illinois; and his cherished grandchildren, Natalie and Allison Gula, and Giovanni, Marcello, and Niccolo Vultaggio. Gary is also survived by his brother, Alan Craver and several nieces and nephews.

Gary will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A memorial service will immediately follow at noon. Burial to follow at Saint Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam.
