Voorheesville- Fredericka A. McCurdy, 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home. She was born in Ticonderoga on May 21, 1931 to the late Lemund and Ella McKeown. She was the wife of the late Richard McCurdy.
She is survived by her son, Douglas McCurdy of Voorheesville; her daughter, Colleen Scott of Durham, N.C.; her brothers, Thomas of East Berne and James of Lake Worth, F.L.; her sisters, Linda Matyas of Jacksonville, F.L., Jacqueline Wright and Barbara Kennon both of Ticonderoga; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Burial will take place at 12pm on Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or to Habitat for Humanity International, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709.
