GUILDERLAND- Francis "Frank" E. McTague, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Peters Hospice Inn on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Born in Albany, NY on May 27, 1928, the son of the late Edward J. and Helen V. (Brady) McTague. Frank attended St. John's Academy in Rensselaer and Cornell University. He worked for the NYS Department of Labor for 34 years, retiring in 1990. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in the Korean War. He was also a member of the Gerald O'Neil Post in Rensselaer for 60 years. Frank was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Guilderland.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Connie (Arno) McTague; his children Lori McTague of Guilderland, Tarin McTague of Westfield, NJ, Michael (Susan) McTague of Fort Wayne, IN, and Mark (Sue) McTague of Rotterdam. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion Brady.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister Ann (McTague) Behan.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205, with a funeral service to follow at 12 noon.
Interment will follow the service in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
