Frances Lee Thomas, 80, entered the gates of Heaven on February 24, 2026.
Born in Albany, she was the beloved daughter of the late Marie Vogel. Frances was predeceased by her devoted husband, Edwin E. Thomas, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage.
Frances found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing cards and rolling dice, and she was happiest in her kitchen baking and cooking for her family. Preparing meals for those she loved was one of the many ways she showed her boundless care and devotion. She was cherished each and every day and will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she gave so freely.
Above all, Frances treasured her family. She is survived by her loving children, whom she cherished every moment of every day: Cindy Sullivan (Joseph), Wendy Alheim, Kelly Dagner (Richard), and Stephen J. Bennett. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Butchie and Punky, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense pride and joy to her life.
Frances is reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, Gregory Bennett; her granddaughter, Crystal Van Epps; her daughter-in-law, Tracy Bennett; and her siblings, Charlotte, Rosie, Pat, and Sissy.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 1pm at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Frances will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
