Frances K. Cox

Albany- Frances K. Cox , 95, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Fran always felt that 13 was her lucky number. Fran was born in Albany, New York on August 24, 1929, daughter to the late Dominick and Elizabeth Oliveri. Frances was the devoted wife to the late Raymond Cox.

Fran retired from Farm Family Insurance Co., where she was a valued employee for 25 years.

Fran enjoyed traveling to many places, reading, word puzzles, and she loved spending time with family and friends.

Thank You to the staff and friends at Peregrine Crossgate for welcoming her in her final years.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Fran's devoted caregiver, Dawn.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Linda (David) Gardner, Diane (Timothy) Gilligan, and Jodi (Mark) Stulmaker; grandchildren, David Gardner, Julie (Scott Brannon) Gardner, Joseph (Samantha DeSena) Wolfe, Lisa ( Stephen) Zareski, Lauren (Sean Finnegan) Stulmaker, and Jeffery (Phoebe Peronto) Stulmaker; great grandchildren, Olivia, Samantha, Sophia, Stephen Zareski, Hannah, Vincent Wolfe, Asher, and Teddy Stulmaker; brother, Joseph Oliveri; Nieces, Betti Mead and Annette Carpenter; and her extended family, the Cox's, who were always there for her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Fran is predeceased by her siblings, Anthony, Daniel, Mary, and Anne.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
