Frances V. Betz

Frances Violet Betz (George), 93, passed away in her sleep on June 22nd, 2026 with her children by her side. 

She was born December 1st, 1932 in Oxford, Massachusetts to the late Arthur A. George and Annie George (Conley). 

Frances worked a few jobs. At the age of 20 she entered the Air Force as a flight traffic specialist. In addition, she worked at Channel 10 and driving trucks for an Air Freight Company, which she loved. Her last job was doing data entry for CSC in Menands. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her eldest son, Edward Michael Betz, brothers Chuckie and George Fisher, sister Barb and Red Hammond and sisters in laws Edna Betz and Edna Fischer. 

She is survived by her son Keith (Linda) Betz of Rotterdam, Donna Grant of Schroon Lake, daughter in law Debbie Betz, grandchildren Chris (Heather) Betz, Curtis Thompson, Jessica (Betz) and Brandon Skinkle, Jennifer (Chris) Kearney, Sherri Betz as well as 10 great grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held on Monday June 29th from 11am-1pm, with a prayer service being held at 12:45pm. 

Interment to follow in Graceland Cemetery.
