Albany – Fran Abete, 77, passed away peacefully Thursday January 14, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Fran was born in Glen Cove, NY a daughter to the late Leo and Julia (Perone) Posillico. She worked as a recreational therapist at Eden Park Nursing home for many years. In addition to her loving family, Fran is survived by her long time and loyal canine companion "Baby".
She is survived by her children: Elisa Abete ~ Vincent, Tony Abete ~ Linda, Angela Carpinello and Richard Abete ~ Dianne, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, Anthony Abete, brothers: Joseph and Leo Posillico, sisters: Theresa Errico ~ Gene and Donna Posillico Zadrozny and a large extended family .
A memorial service will be held Monday 4:00 pm at Unity Church, 21 King Ave., Albany.
