Listen to Obituary

Florence J. Belleville, 88, peacefully passed away on the morning of February 23, 2026. Florence will forever be the light for her family even after her passing, as we remember her sunny outlook on life and her smile that could brighten anyone’s day. She had a way of making your troubles dissipate as she was the optimist who found just the right words to uplift you. Family and friends loved her for the warmth, sense of humor, and kindness that she gave freely. Numerous occasions at family gatherings you would hear her whisper into someone’s ear, “I have a good joke to tell you”, which would immediately signal to anyone remotely within earshot, to listen closely, as they knew a whopper of a joke was coming that only she could tell with the delivery of a skilled comedienne.

Florence’s immense joys were foundationally built on marrying the love of her life, the late Francis Belleville, Sr. in October 1960, a Marine veteran. She reveled in her children’s and grandchildren’s successes ranging from attainment of Phoenix Raven status with the U.S Airforce, college graduations, accomplishments in various sports such as baseball, track, football, and cross country, as well as supporting those currently studying for degrees, and being so very proud of all who are working on their careers and growing their families. On the bleachers or in everyday life, you could hear her clap and holler “Let’s Go” making sure her loved ones heard her love and support for them loud and clear.

Florence cherished her time with family. This included weekly dinners and happy hours with her children and family gatherings, which included an annual visit to the Saratoga Racecourse. Despite contracting polio at age two, she remained active until her late 80s and enjoyed planting flowers in her rock garden, sitting on her deck in the sun, shopping and traveling, which included her dream vacation to Hawaii.

Florence approached the end of her life in the same way she lived it- with courage, love, and dignity. In her last days, Florence was loving, kind, and brave. She is now reunited with her husband Frank, her sisters Lorraine Panetta and Patty Reith, her mom Evelyn, and the many others whom she loved and passed before her.

Florence is survived by her children, Francis Belleville Jr. (Eunice), Deborah Agley (Scott VanBrabant); grandchildren, Ariel Agley (Marcus), Richard Agley (Tasha), Zachary Agley (Rhiannon), Samuel Belleville (Ally Haff), Hannah Belleville; great-grandchildren, Brett Agley, Nalani Agley, Demarcus Bonanno, Jazmine Bonanno, Story Agley, and Cameron Agley; brothers, Charles Parent Jr. (Pat), and Joseph Parent (Sheryl); sister, Marilyn Westervelt (Jerry).
