Evelyn Adele Ives

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Adele Ives on July 5, 2026 in Schenectady, NY. She was born October 6, 1952, in Auburn, NY, and graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1970.

Evelyn is predeceased by her loving parents, Albert Ai Ives and Virginia Helen Nearing Ives. She is survived by sisters, Sharon Talmadge (Michael), Valerie Wheeler (Thomas), Sylvia Ives, and Janet Hoke (David); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Evelyn was a courageous soul who worked hard to live life well. When she made a friend, she pursued every avenue to bring pleasure to that special person’s life. Thank you to her most recent best friend, Ben , for filling her heart with joy. We will miss her, and may she rest in peace. Evelyn’s remains will be interred in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
