Ernest S. Jurusik

Ernest S. Jurusik, 90, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2015.
Born November, 23, 1924, to the late Andrew John and Anna (Cunningham) Jurusik, he is also preceded in death by his son, Gary Jurusik; sister, Clara Weiss; brother, George LaRush ; brother-in-law, Henry Weiss. Loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife, M. Helen (Popp) Jurusik and son, Geoffrey; nieces, Carolyn LaRush, Clairissa (Weiss) Lenti, Doreen (Weiss) Smith.
"Ernie" graduated in 1942 from Cohoes High School, was a WWII Navy Veteran and radio and radar operator. He was a long time employee of New York Telephone Company Bell Labs and was an avid fan and member of amateur radio (HAM).
Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 13, 2015, 7-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2015, at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
