Eric John Gamble

Eric John Gamble, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Samaritan Hospital with his loving family by his side. Eric was the son of the late Clarence and Martha Gamble.

Eric worked for Second Chances for many years and loved his job. He enjoyed rapping with his partner in their group the Lo Lifes. Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his cats Simba and Evie.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Jerome and his sister Shirley Gamble.

Eric is survived by his Fiance, Jessica Ann Jackson. His siblings; Clarence (Rowena) Gamble Jr., Willie (Louise) Gamble, Larry Gamble, Laverne Conyers, Vernette Gamble. His children, Lamar and Eric Gamble and a host of grandchildren, family and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Thursday May 28, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Hill Cemetery Association, Troy, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Processing Center American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 in Eric's memory.
