Elvera E. Shutter

Elvera E. Shutter, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, with her loving family by her side after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Elvera was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith MacIntosh.
She was a Sr. Computer Operator at Union College in Schenectady for over 39 years.
Elvera was an active member of Roessleville Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday School for many years.
She also enjoyed painting, cake decorating and puzzles but mostly spending time with her family.
Elvera is survived by her children; Dawn (Harold) Lawton, Cheryl (Matthew) Bennett, Charles (Lynne Lacey) Shutter and Eve Shutter. She is the adored grandmother of Richard Myers, Heather Lawton and Stephen (Eileen) Lawton. She is the great grandmother of Alexis, Lucas and Damien Myers. She is also survived by her brother Daniel (Ellen) MacIntosh.
The family would like to thank the staff at Daughters of Sarah for all of their care and compassion over the past year.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
