Elva L. "Penny" Gregory

Elva “Penny” Gregory, 99, passed from this life that she loved and lived for the Lord, her family and friends into the loving arms of Jesus on June 15, 2026.

Born on June 8, 1927 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Marie Cook. She is also predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Edward.

She spent her growing up years in Akron, moving to Clarksville, NY in 1947. She attended Pineview Community Church (Albany Alliance Church), where she faithfully worshipped and served the Lord in various ministries - sharing the love of Jesus with those around her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister and friend, Joan E Oliver; grandson, Thomas Gregory; nephew, Greg Turner; niece, June Crookes.

Penny is survived by her loving and devoted family, sons, Rex (Susan) and Rance (Jill) Gregory, grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) Gregory, Amy (Greg) Palmer, Geoffrey (Elizabeth) Palmer, Brooke Gregory; great grandchildren, Sadie and Henry Gregory, Colin, Declan and Quinlan Palmer, Jacob and Nathan Palmer. She is also survived by nephews, Greg and Brad Oliver, Jeff Turner; nieces, Robyn Eastman and Lynn Myers.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a Home Going Service to immediately follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Onesquethaw Cemetery on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 10 a.m.
