Albany- Ellsworth G. "Jake" Cahn, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was the son of the late James and Phoebe Cahn.
Jake worked as a Nurse with St. Peters Hospital and Albany Medical Center where he provided kind and compassionate care to his patients until his retirement. Throughout his life, Jake also worked as a Chef.
Jake enjoyed spending time with his friends, never missing a happy hour.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jake's closest friend, Kelly Bink.
In addition to his friend, Jake is survived by his son, Matthew Cahn; sister, Sharon A. (the late David) Shapiro; nephew, Timothy (Jennifer) Shapiro; grandnephew, Alex Shapiro; and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Jake is predeceased by his grandson, Avery Cahn; and his brother, Raymond Cahn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jake's name to a charity of your choice.
