GREENVILLE - Ellen R. Smith, 87, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Born in Rensselaerville, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Rosella (Lounsbury) Pearson; wife of the late Charles E. Smith; sister of the late Hazel, Mabel, Irene and Everett. Survived by her brother, Philip (Lee) Pearson and several nieces and nephews. She was a librarian for the Greenville Public Library. There will be a private service at the convenience of the family at a later date.
