Elizabeth Johnakin

RENSSELAER – Elizabeth JOhnakin, 84, went home to the Lord peacefully on December 9, 2008 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Lucious Johnakin; her mother, Addie Chapman; her daughters, Sharron Mackey and Patricia Cohen and her brother, Leon Chapman. A devoted mother, she is survived by her son, Gregory Johnakin; her daughters, Peggy Hall, Pamela Adams and Kim (Carl) Lyons; her sister, Dorothy Chapman; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Special thank you to Akai Hall, her great-grandson, who provided loving care for the past two years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 at Colonie Christian Life Church, 31 Vly Rd., Colonie. Viewing will be prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
