Elizabeth Grzelecki, 100, passed away peacefully at Ellis hospital on December 7th. Born in the comfort of her family home in Niskayuna to the late Anthony and Maryanna Borowski, she spent her entire life within its welcoming walls.
Elizabeth's professional journey began at General Electric, where she contributed her talents until she embarked on a new chapter of her life with marriage. Her passion for service continued as she dedicated herself to working at Northland Transportation as a beloved Bus Aide. Until she was 80, she could be found nurturing and connecting with the children she adored, bringing smiles and warmth to their daily journeys.
An ardent sports enthusiast, Elizabeth was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, and not a single game passed without her unwavering support. She also cheered for the Knicks and the Giants, embodying the true spirit of a sports lover.
In her cherished memories, Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her son Timothy and his girlfriend Sharon Miller as well as her her niece and nephew, Janice and Jack Chlopecki,with whom she had a special bond.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edwin in 1975. Elizabeth now joins her beloved brothers, Michael, John Steven, and Anthony, along with her sisters, Mary and Frances, in eternal rest.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elizabeth's remarkable life during the visitation at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in Colonie, NY, on December 15, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7 PM.
