Elizabeth C. Franchini

Loudonville- Elizabeth C. Franchini, 83, went to be with her husband Gino and daughter Nancy on Friday, May 5, 2017.Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Gino L. Franchini, her daughter Nancy Contois, her mother Dorothy Pitts and her sister Ida Rieffannacht.

She is survived by her children, Marie Davis (Daniel), Deborah VonFricken (Michael), Marino Franchini (Mary), Gina Franchini, Angela Anderson (Roy), Steve Franchini (Deborah) and son in law Joe Contois Sr. In addition to her children Elizabeth is survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Contois Jr., Mandy Brown, Nichole Elmanzoul, Barbara Davis, Tina VonFricken-Heroux, Luigino Franchini, Anthony Franchini, Dimitria Franchini, Gianna Hilson, Anjolia Hilson, Johnny Hilson III, Ryan Anderson, Kaylie Anderson , Michael Anderson. Ronnie and Jillie Pierone and 17 great grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by her two brothers, George Pitts (Marilyn) and Lawrence Pitts (Helen) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife and mother. She loved gardening, humming birds, Cape Cod and boating. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and everyone enjoyed her cooking. Elizabeth was a talented seamstress as well as a bookkeeper at the family business. She was also active with the Girl Scouts as Scout Leader. She enjoyed playing word games with her daughters and loved attending and watching her sons play sports. Elizabeth enjoyed learning Italian cooking from her mother-in-law, Annunziata Franchini.
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by everyone who she touched in her life. She was a strong, beautiful and amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nana and friend.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 8. 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funerals and Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
