Edward J. Carl, Jr.

Troy- Edward J. Carl, Jr., 82, husband of Gloria J. Carl, died on October 24, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Troy, he was a lifelong resident of the capitol district. Ed was the son of the late Edward and Josephine Yetto Carl.

Before his retirement, he was employed by the Troy Housing Authority. Ed enjoyed listening to classic country music, family gatherings, and traveling.

Mr. Carl is survived by his children Todd (Kelly) Carl of Troy and Renea (Brad) Chase of Medusa. He is predeceased by a son Edward Carl III. Mr. Carl is also survived by his two granddaughters Katelyn Filuta and Nicole Chase; a grandson, Josh Keefe; sisters, Alma Ross of Brunswick and Patricia (Tom) Danaher of Averill Park; brothers, Paul (Donna) Carl of Beverly Hills, Florida and Dennis Carl of Wynantskill; a sister-in-law, Karen Carl of Valley Falls; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Carl was also predeceased by his brothers Raymond Carl, Sr. and Joseph Carl, Sr.; a niece, Donna Scifo; a nephew, Joseph Carl, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, John Ross.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Brookside Ave, Wynantskill at 9am on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
