ALBANY- Edna M. Pincher, 79, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family.
Edna was born in Albany, NY on March 7, 1938 to the late Walter and Mary Kelsey. She grew up in West Albany and loved to share her memories of her childhood. In 1970 Edna married the love of her life, George. They were married for 44 years. Edna was a loving homemaker for many years while she raised her six sons. She went on to work for the NYS Teachers Retirement System. Edna's passion in life was her family and she cherished her time with her grandsons
Edna is predeceased by her husband, George Pincher, and her sister, Theresa Paige.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Jack (Lainey) McConkey, Kevin (Tracy) McConkey, Brian (Carol) McConkey, Timothy McConkey, Thomas (Robin) McConkey, Scott (Katie) Pincher, her 13 grandchildren, her 8 great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Walter(Linda) Kelsey, and Michael Kelsey.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edna's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
