Edna Cave, 94, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2015 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home with her daughter by her side.
Edna was born December 27, 1920, in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of the late David and Mary Weinberg.
She was a secretary with the Department of State in Albany for many years.
In addition to her parents Edna was predeceased by her husband, Ernest C. Cave and her sister and brother, Helen and Harry.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Martha E. Eates and Phyllis (Thomas) Cave - Brady. She is the cherished grandmother of Nicolas "Nino" (Cynthia) Sage, Kachina Eates and Dr. James Perkins Jr. She is the adored great grandmother of Camille, Elijah Sage, Roman and Amor Harris. She is also survived by her great great grandson, Jayden Sage and her niece Jane Goldberg.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern New York 4 Pine West Plaza Albany, NY, 12205 or to the Community Hospice, 298 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY. in Edna's memory.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, especially the G wing and to the Community Hospice for all of their care and compassion given to Edna; also to Dr. Caramore for his caring for Edna through all the years and for supporting her family.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
