ALBANY - Earl R. Stover, 75, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Albany Medical Center.
Earl was born in Albany on April 21, 1942 and was the son of the late Earl V. and Shirley (Owens) Stover. He was a taxi driver for many years working for Ok Taxi of Albany, Central Taxi and Duffy's before retiring. He enjoyed bowling and fishing but will be remembered for his sense of humor and his positive and upbeat personality.
Earl is survived by his sister, Marion (Robert) Hammer; four children, Earl, Joey, Tony and Darlene; six step-children, Billy, Christopher, Debbie, Kelly, Colleen and the late Tommy. He was also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Diane Buckley and Cheryl Bloss.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12 noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie.
