Douglas J. Caisse, Jr.

Douglas Joseph Caisse Jr., 82, husband to Videlia (Carrasco) Caisse, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in his home with his loving family by his side.

Born on June 13, 1943, in Niskayuna, NY, he was the son of the late Douglas J. Caisse Sr., and Shirley D. (Krone) Caisse.

Doug served our country for 22 years in the United States Army retiring as a Master Sergeant. During his service he was stationed on Taboga Island, Panama, where he met his beautiful wife and their love continued for 61 years. Together they built a family with two children, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. One of which, Santo Antonio, was born the same evening of his passing.

He is survived by his wife Videlia, children Victor J. (Nicole), and Shirley Ann (Joseph); grandchildren Joshua, Crystal, Jacob, Videlia (Anthony), Victoria (Denis), Angelica (Mike); great-grandchildren Penelope, Santo Antonio, and, Maya Keza; siblings Michael (Carla), Colleen (Michael), Kathleen (Kurt), and Patrick.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is predeceased by his sister Patricia Talbot.

Family and friends are invited to attend Visitation on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 8:30 am - 9:15 am with a Funeral Mass to begin at 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 231 2nd St, Scotia, NY 12302. Burial to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Doug’s honor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, or Wounded Warriors Project.
