Dorothy M. Evans

Colonie- Dorothy M. Evans, 96, of Bishop Broderick Apartments passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. She was born in Albany on July 18, 1920 and was a resident of Colonie for many years. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Nash) Bacon and was predeceased by her husband Edgar W. Evans.

She was the loving mother of Martina M. Hulett of Colonie, grandmother of John, Kevin (Linda), and Brian (Cheri McKenna) Hulett of Colonie. Great grandmother of Makayla, Kevin Jr. and Andrew Hulett of Colonie.

She is predeceased by her brothers, James and Edward Bacon; sisters Edna Bacon, Martina McCall and Jane Brantigan; sister in law Betty Kosinski and her son in law Paul Hulett. Dorothy is also survived by her best friends Shirley Quinn and Ella Berkley as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany Street, Schenectady, New York 12304. Interment will follow the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
