Dorothea Anne Moyer

Dorothea “Dottie” Anne Moyer, 85, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at Shaker Place Nursing Home, which was home. 

Dottie was born in Athol, MA. On April 6, 1941, she was the daughter of Geraldine (Blaser) Wall-Alderman and the late Joseph L Wall.

Dottie was dedicated to her work as a Food Service aide at the ARC for 30+ years and received several awards for her service. She enjoyed watching TV (especially the soaps), knitting, scratching tickets, hanging out with friends, dancing at the Shamrock in Albany, and, of course, spending time with her beloved dog Dunkin.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the loves of her life, husband Wayne Moyer, George Manor Sr and Leo DeGonzague.

Dottie is survived by her daughters, Theresa Miller (Donald), Ellen Manor (late George Jr); Mary Russell (Don Rickard) Lisa Petersen Diana Laramee Foote (Chris); grandchildren, Melanie Pitts Munger (Scott), Donald Pitts (Tabathia), Chasity Shenandoah (Chance VanPatten), Calena Kent Deming (Dave), and David Kent (Ashley), Stephen Lawton (Christine,) Paul Peters (Rosemary) and Domique Petersen Babcock (John), Josh (Kate) and Cameron; 18 great-grandchildren; her beloved and best sister ever Rosalie J Flood (Robert); nephews, Robert (Terry), James(Monica); Niece, Cherie Voss (David) and late John Flood (Susan); and several second and third nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral ceremony to immediately follow at 6 p.m.
