North Greenbush- Doris M. Smith, 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home in North Greenbush. The daughter of the late John W. and Wilhelmina (Lancaster) Johnson, Doris was born on April 20, 1934 in London, England.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Malcolm Smith.
Doris is survived by her beloved daughter, Lynne Wechsler; her granddaughter, Leah Wechsler and her grandson, Michael Wechsler. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Johnson of Letchworth, England; her sister-in-law, June Bentley and many nieces and nephews in England.
In keeping with Doris' wishes, there will be no services.
Doris' family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Unit B1 at Van Rensselaer Manor for their loving and compassionate care.
