Donna Ann Olson

Donna Ann Olson, 80, passed peacefully September 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

Donna was a graduate of Mohonasen High School. She held several jobs in her younger years but was most proud of her work as a meat cutter and her membership in the UFCW. Later, she became a custodian for the Guilderland Central School District, retiring in 2008 before continuing to substitute for several years. 

Donna enjoyed sewing, thrifting, camping, and taking trips to play bingo and the slots. The holidays were by far her favorite time of year; it brought her immense joy to gather her family together, and her door was always open to anyone who stopped by. She was also a devoted animal lover who spent the last fifteen years with her adored dog, Peewee. Donna was beloved by many and loved everyone in return. She never cared about titles, treating everyone as family regardless. 

She was predeceased by her parents; Joy Myers and Melvin Leavitt, and her brother Donald Myers. 

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Olson, her children; Dawn Jansen (Tom) and Ronnie Hart (Coleen), her beloved grandchildren; Deanna Kichton (Christopher), Robert White Jr. (Rhonda), Sara Hart and Sammy Hart and great grandchildren; Robert White III, Anthony Fritz, George Kichton, and Valerie Ramos. 

The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to Schenectady Hospice who helped by sharing their compassion and support to ensure Donna's peaceful transition in her last days. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with service to follow a 1 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205, followed by burial in Park View Cemetery.
