Listen to Obituary

Donna M. Becker, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Donna was born on December 16, 1949 in Albany, NY and was the daughter of the late Donald and Genevieve McLennan. Donna graduated from McCluskey High School in Albany and went on to enjoy a successful career within the New York State Senate as an administrative assistant.

She was the devoted wife to Alois (Al) Becker for 54 years. For more than half a century, they built a life that was surrounded by family and filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They traveled both near and far, by ship, plane, motor home, and also by motor cycle. Their memories together are countless and forever remain cherished to both of them.

Donna had a special way with people and always put others before herself. She was the type of person that strangers would immediately trust with their stories as she had a sincere way of listening to others without judgment. She was incredibly family oriented and found great happiness in gathering together, sharing stories, and making more memories. Her daughter, Ashli, was her ace companion, and together, they made quite a pair. Shopping, planning, organizing and simply enjoying one another's company, always getting the most out of every moment spent together. A grandmother of two, Donna was at her finest when she spent time with her grandsons. When they were young, she took them to parks, played with them, read to them, laughed with them, and simply loved them. As they grew older, she listened to them, offered advice, and modeled life lessons for them. Her influence on her "boys" ultimately defined her legacy and she was most proud of their accomplishments and the young men they have become.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by her daughter Ashli (Joby) and her grandsons, Collin and Keegan. She is also survived by her older brother, Donald McLennan, a large extended family, with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Our hearts are filled with sorrow but we know that she will continue to watch over us and remind us that love never truly ends.
