It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we celebrate the life of Donald Marr, who passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by his devoted family.

Donald was the beloved son of the late Lena Gorse Marr and Frederick Marr. He was the loving and devoted husband of Pat Marr, with whom he shared 68 remarkable years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and unwavering commitment-an enduring example of true partnership.

He was preceded in death by his cherished son, Don Marr, who always remained close to his heart. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Grace, Marie, Leonard, Fred; his sister-in-laws, Sue Dubuc and Jeanne Dubuc.

Donald leaves behind his loving daughter, Terry, who will forever carry his memory, strength, and love within her. He was a proud and devoted grandfather whose presence brought warmth, wisdom, and gentle guidance to all who knew him. He believed in leading by example, teaching the importance of kindness, integrity, and unconditional love. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: DiAnna Marr; Shawn (Jessica Pereyra) Antalek; Betsy Marr (Mitch Masterson); Scott (Alysha Auer) Antalek; and Daniel (Melissa) Antalek. Each of them was a source of immense pride and joy in his life.

He was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, Skyler, Landon, Elijah, Bailey, Uriyah, Owen, Grace, Clementine, Kyah, and Ruth, who filled his days with laughter and brought him endless happiness. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Russell (Lorraine) Dubuc, John Dubuc, Michael Dubuc and many nieces and nephews.

A man of quiet strength and kind spirit, Donald touched countless lives through his generosity and steady presence. He found joy in the simple moments-time spent on the golf course, sharing stories, and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees. These moments, though simple, became treasured memories for those fortunate enough to share them with him.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a storekeeper aboard the USSBerry (DD-933). Following his service, he dedicated many years to a respected career with National Grid, where he worked as an electric lineman and later as a supervisor. He took great pride in his work and was admired for his strong work ethic, earning the respect and friendship of many colleagues throughout his career.

Above all, Donald will be remembered for the life he lived-with humility, quiet strength, and a deep and abiding love for his family. His legacy is not only in the years he lived, but in the lives he shaped, the values he passed on, and the love he gave so freely.

Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
