Donald R. Fahd

Donald R. Fahd, 77, of Conway, SC, formerly of Albany, NY, passed away on Wednesday October 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Albany in 1948 a son of the late Joseph M. Fahd, Sr. and Doris (Berry) Fahd. He was raised in Albany and graduated from Albany High School Class of 1968.

Donald entered the U.S. Army in 1969 and served fourteen months in Vietnam.

Following his time in the military, Donald worked for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 2009 after forty-one years of service.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for over 55 years and a life member of the Elks for over 54 years.

He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Fahd.

Donald is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Diane (Kessler) Fahd; his children, Scott (Margaret) Fahd and Mark (Linda) Fahd; his grandchildren, Adrianna, Ashley, Trey, Tyler and Saint; his siblings, Joseph M. (Nancy) Fahd, Jr. Richard (Rosemarie) Fahd, Diane (Tom) Amszynski and Terry Fahd as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a service of remembrance to immediately follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
