Donald David Carpenter Sr., 40, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Born on October 20, 1985, in Albany, New York, Donald was a lifelong resident of the area and a dedicated member of his community. He was the beloved husband of Jessica (Scattergood) Carpenter, with whom he shared a deep and loving partnership.

Donald was a devoted father to his two children, Donald D. Carpenter Jr. and Emma Carpenter, who were the center of his world. He took immense pride in his role as a husband and father, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.

He was employed as a Water Maintenance Foreman for the City of Albany, where he worked diligently and earned the respect and friendship of many colleagues, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.

Donald had a passion for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was also a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing a game and always cheering on his team screaming "DEM BOYZ".

In addition to his wife and children, Donald is survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Paulie Jr., Adrianna, Jacob, and Abby, whom he adored. He will be deeply missed by his in-laws Kristina (Paul Sr.), Heather (Patrick), and Ashley (Marty), who loved him as a brother, as well as his mother-in-law Kimberly, whom he affectionately called “Ma.”

Donald will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his loyalty to those he loved, and the warmth and laughter he brought into the lives of others. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
