Latham- Dominic J. Marchese, 26, passed away on May 19, 2026, following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His passing leaves an unimaginable void in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him.
Dominic graduated from Shaker High School in 2017 and later went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard, a commitment he was proud of and took seriously. He lived life with a bold and adventurous spirit, never afraid to follow what made him feel alive.
He often told his family, “If I die riding my bike, know I died happy.” That statement reflected exactly who he was — someone who valued freedom, passion, and living life on his own terms. Dominic enjoyed fishing, going to concerts, and spending time surrounded by family and friends. He had a natural gift for bringing joy into everyday moments and was always finding fun new toys and surprises for his son, niece, and nephew, simply wanting to see them smile.
More than anything in this world, Dominic loved being a father. His son, Rhett, was his greatest pride and deepest love. Everything Dominic did, he did with Rhett in mind — from the way he spoke about his future to the joy he found in the simplest moments they shared. The bond between them will never be broken. Rhett will grow up knowing his dad loved him fiercely, fully, and without limits, and that love will continue to guide him for the rest of his life.
Even in his final moments, Dominic’s giving spirit never stopped. Through the gift of organ donation, he was able to help save and improve the lives of others. His liver and kidneys went on to give families more time, more hope, and more life. Dominic’s heart was also donated with the hope of helping another person, a final act of selflessness that reflected exactly who he was — someone who cared deeply for others, even when he had nothing left to give.
Dominic is survived by his beloved son, Rhett; his wife, Emily Marchese; his parents, Amanda and Charles Marchese; his sister, Tierra (Alex) Jobson; his niece, Harlow Jobson, and nephew, Theo Jobson; his uncle Chad (Michelle) Marchese; uncle Sean (Charleen) Bushey; aunt Georgina (David) Helf; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him beyond words.
Dominic was predeceased by his grandmother, Darlene Elliot; his great-grandparents, Mary and Gerry Marchese; and Jane and Clayton Gasner.
Though his time here was far too short, Dominic will be remembered for his fearless heart, his deep love for his family, and the way he lived life fully and unapologetically. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
