Dolores A. Kniskern
September 24, 1928 — January 15, 2017
Colonie- Dolores "Dee" Kniskern, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born September 24, 1928 she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Kniskern of Cobleskill. Dolores is predeceased by a son Daniel and her sister Mignon Jensen.
Dee joined the Navy after High School and lived in Peoria, Illinois after her discharge. She then returned to the capital district where she worked as a CNA at Albany Memorial Hospital until her retirement.
She grossly enjoyed vacations especially in Cape Cod and even spent a summer working there.
Dee is survived by her niece and nephew, Susan Gauda (Dr. Joe), Neil Jensen, and her great niece and nephews, Samantha, Steven and Spencer. She is also survived by her best friends Diane Bradley and Tara Pixley.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 10:00am-1:00pm.
