Deena B. Collins

Albany, NY — Deena B. Collins, 81, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. She was born in Albany, NY, to the late Harold Sr. and Adele Collins.

Deena was a strong, loving, and devoted single mother who gave everything she had to her beloved son, Thomas. She worked for many years at Grand Union, dedicating herself to providing for her family. Throughout her life, Deena faced many challenges, but she never gave up. Her strength, perseverance, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Deena was predeceased by her siblings, Dolores Lather, Carol Moreland, Adele Panella, Harold Jr. Collins, Edwin Collins, Robert Collins, and Fredrick Collins.

She is survived by her beloved son, Thomas Collins; her siblings, John (Dawn) Collins, Bruce (Kathy) Collins, Joseph (Trina) Collins, and Mary S. Capasso; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Deena will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
