Deanne M. Fazzone

May 19, 1940 — October 21, 2016

Schenectady- On October 21, 2016, we lost our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, DeAnne Brisson Fazzone, a lifetime resident of Schenectady and Albany.

DeAnne was a remarkable woman who was a keen audience for the world around her. She was an aficionado of local artistic endeavors and generous in her encouragement and appreciation of the artists. She never became indifferent to what she found beautiful or interesting or unique. She was pleased to have an interest in photography herself and produced many professional quality photographs. Always modest, she mostly preferred to display the work of others in her home and treasured her artwork and various collections.

Always an avid reader, she also loved Broadway plays and movies at the Spectrum Theatre. She volunteered at Capital Rep and SPAC for years, and found something of value in every production. DeAnne appreciated different cultures, and took every opportunity to travel until it became too difficult.

DeAnne will be remembered for her unassuming nature, her shy but luminous smile, her kindness and thoughtfulness, her love and support of her family and friends, her sense of fun, her sincere interest in listening to and learning from others, her classic but embellished sense of style, her delight in jewelry and shoes, and most of all for her courage and ineffable sweetness.

She retired from a career with the State of New York, going on to enjoy part-time positions at AAA and the Albany Institute of History and Art.

DeAnne is survived by her daughter Pamela Fazzone (Clyde Lea) of Houston, Texas and her son Kevin Fazzone (Kelly) of New Braunfels, Texas; her brother Mark Brisson (Esther) of Lynchburg, Virginia; her sister Rosanne Parker (Bill) of Roanoke, Virginia; her niece Renee Brisson of Altamont, who has been her special friend the last few years; nephews Michael, Steven, Greg, Alex and Andy; her children's father David Fazzone (Nancy); and many loving cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Antionette and her beloved brother Paul Brisson.

DeAnne left us to remember how much she loved us back and to take care of each other. And we will.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to DeAnne's dear friend Mary Martin for her friendship and the precious gift of writing the words above, as we believe they so perfectly capture the personality and spirit of our Dee.
