David W. St. Pierre Sr., 64, of Averill Park, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 12, 2025. David was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness left an undeniable mark on all who knew him.
He was a proud St. Bridget School graduate, class of 1975 and completed his education at Watervliet High School, class of 1979. Following graduation, he joined the workforce and spent many years at National Gypsum Co. His most recent position being with Sark Wire Corp., leading as a Quality Control Personnel Supervisor. David was a lifelong learner whose passion for improvement extended beyond the workplace and into his personal life.
David was characterized by his kindness and his love for sports. A dedicated Vikings fanatic and avid Yankees fan, his enthusiasm for teams extended into his family and friendships, where he could often be found cheering loudly and celebrating victories or commiserating losses with his son, Anthony and/or dear friends Donnie and Lou. He had a genuine ability to connect with people, making everyone feel welcome and appreciated.
Above all, David was a family man. He cherished every moment spent with his three children and eight grandchildren. He took immense joy and pride in being "Popop" to the kids. He could be found supporting them at their games, concerts, and events. They created unforgettable memories over said things and many meals. Recovery Room Sundays and holiday gatherings will be forever cherished memories for his loved ones, deeply infused with laughter and warmth.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond G. and Theresa M. St. Pierre, who are forever missed.
David is survived by his forever friend, Cindy M. St. Pierre. Their three children—David W. St. Pierre Jr., Nicole M. St. Pierre, and Anthony S. (Alicia) St. Pierre. Grandchildren: Ryleigh Ryan, Charlotte St. Pierre, Madelyn St. Pierre, Lincoln St. Pierre, Victoria St. Pierre, Collin St. Pierre, Francesca Wilkinson, and Annalise St. Pierre. Special friend, Darlene White, his beloved brother, Michael St. Pierre, and a wide circle of relatives including numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with a service to immediately follow at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189. Burial will be held privately at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
