David Jeffrey Pelletier

ALBANY — David Jeffrey Pelletier, 74, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at Teresian House Center for the Elderly.

Born on November 20, 1951, in Albany, New York, David was the son of the late Joseph John Pelletier and Camille Ruth (Osborn) Pelletier. He spent most of his life in the Albany area.

David worked in construction and was also employed by Conrail Railroad and the Times Union newspaper, where he began his career in Security before moving into Maintenance and Repair.

He enjoyed spending time fishing and camping with his family. David was a devoted New York Giants fan, a ham radio enthusiast, and was known for his caring and compassionate nature. He deeply loved his family and formed many meaningful friendships with the staff and residents at Teresian House, whom he considered part of his extended family.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brothers, John Pelletier and Robert Pelletier; his sister, Jeannine Pelletier; his niece, Danielle Garcelon; his great-nephew, Nicholas Barna; his brother-in-law, Donald Poutre; and his sister-in-law, Maribeth Pelletier.

David is survived by his sisters, Betty Poutre, Kathy (Ray) Lifite, Renee (Sean) Bossoni, Laurie (Thomas) Herold, and Lisa (Tony) Garcelon; his brothers, Michael (Marianne) Pelletier, Roger (Barb) Pelletier, Gregory Pelletier, and Donald (Debbie) Pelletier; his sisters-in-law, Rose Pelletier and Maryann Pelletier; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

David will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
